Dear friends,

This is not another rant against Yahoo (there are plenty of those already!). What I'm writing about is to see what people think about getting more out of Yahoo and Flickr. At the moment I see both as form of online support where we titillate each other with nice pictures of us in various poses. Now don't get me wrong, there is nothing bad about that, but I feel there has to be more. My view - I like the lovely clothes that people wear but I feel that there is no leadership in here to help all those nice ladies who are unsure as to where to go next. I would like to help organise something a little more structured to help other ladies in here become themselves. No one else is doing this , but if there is a need then I would like to help. I am very happy with what I have become and would really like to help others like me. So if you have some good ideas then I would like to hear them as I feel that it might be nice to get something organised. An online chat room perhaps? I would welcome your views. Yes I know sometimes I start to lecture a bit but that is just the academic in me coming out, so you should just grin when you see me doing this and say there's Nikki on her soapbox again. But seriously, should some of us be doing more?

Hi this is just a brief note to let you know, as a courtesy, that I have joined Multiply. I thought I needed a safeguard for when Yahoo finally tosses us out! I'm not sure how many people bother to read my blog and I must admit I'm very selective when it comes to looking at other people's as well. Most of the time I just communicate by e-mail to the dozen or so lovely people on my list that it is been my privilege to get to know personally and to share thoughts with. Others just send the odd message from time to time and that's fine. I have decided not to attempt to contact everyone on my list about transferring to Multiply but will leave it up to you to decide if you want to join me there at this time.
