The fibre to the home market has today been enriched with a new advanced technology customer premises optical node, called CPON-100. The unit features a full duplex 100 Mbps Fast Ethernet link together with a 45~870 MHz full bandwidth Cable Television overlay all delivered over one single mode fibre core of up to 16 km length.
The sturdy die-cast aluminium box includes fibre managment and hiodes the optical connector from the end users. The unit has two separate RJ45 copper ports for 10/100BaseTX connections. One is meant for the VoIP box and the other for the home Internet router. And integrated SNMP module permits setting up VLANs and priorities to suit the customer service level agreements.
