God is my witness, Christ is my judge, life is to live, and in living, love.
This blog is about me, my life and times. It can be boring, and ocassionally funny but it is honest no matter what.
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY
to all the wonderful mothers in my life
I pray you have a fabulous day!
I want to start by saying THANK YOU for the comments and the prayers for my family members.
I am happy to announce that my brother had TRIPLE bypass surgery this past Friday and was discharged from the hospital this morning and is heading home for a well-earned rest. There is no rest in a hospital especially if you are in intensive care. Each occasion that we timed the nurses, doctors, therapists, lab techs and whoever else was stopping by it was not less than 15 minute intervals that lasted for hours. Each time my brother would drift off they'd be in there waking him up again. Poor guy! But at least now he can rest.
On a sad note, my uncle is home and for that we are grateful, but he has been placed on hospice care. We know the end is near and he is prepared to be with his Lord, but for us who shall remain here it will be hard to let go. I am overjoyed for him as he is a true Christian, loves his Lord and is ready to go home to Him. God bless him!
Other than that no news is good news (and yes I really mean that). Not a lot of doings in our little neck of the woods, but Spring is now here so watch out!
Have a great week everyone. ![]()
Wow what a busy few weeks it has been and most definitely an emotional roller coaster. Three weeks ago I received a call at work that my brother had had a heart attack and was in the hospital. After a few days filled with prayer he was discharged and sent home to recover. Phew, all I could think of was "thank God he's out of the woods."
My daughter, granddaughter and I took off last weekend heading down to Miami for a week of relaxation and fun in the sun (NOT)! We were 3 hours from our destination when we received a phone call that my uncle had suffered a very severe heart attack and that it wasn't looking good. Our first few days in Miami were spent shuttling back and forth to the hospital to check on him and visit when we were allowed. I am thankful to say he's recuperating after 10 days in intensive care and they are moving him to a "step-down" room.
Today all things were supposed to return to normal. Spring break was over, school and work had resumed. Not long after I returned home this evening I received a phone call that my brother was back in the hospital and being admitted due to severe chest pain. They are going to assess him in the morning and schedule him for bypass surgery. At the least it will be a double but we'll know more tomorrow after the assessment.
Please keep my family in your prayers and I shall reciprocate for you and yours. Hold on tight, love them as well as you can and never leave them wondering. Family is the greatest gift God has given us and they are to be cherished!
