hello , well i havent been in here since who knoows when ,and alot has happened since then .

the interesting thing is ,that this site is closing down for some reason why i dont know but i wonder does any one .

i know i have been using facebook alot ,so that is where u may find me .

but in saying that i am looking for another site in keeping in contact with online friends and there seem to be quiet a few out there so i like some aspects of them so still exploring . mind u i have found my yearbook and tagged ok to use .

so does anyone else have any ideas ,because i am finding facebook very addictive and full of angry and abusive people . but then if everyone was as tame as me i think the world may become boring.

well the bushfires did start ,down south gippy way actually more latrobe valley ,south of morwell. those country towns of bollara ,cant think of the other one at the moment. about 25 houses went up in smoke as well as some sheds etc. the fire went on for days ,then others started up ,around the high country ,and around portland /warrnambool way .

went to see the movie 'slumdog millionaire' yesterday. it was good ,very busy and sad . i did hear it was based on a true story ,worth seeing but i wouldnt go and see it again.

well my lil sis clare has been on safari in africa since boxing day ,brave gal. nice pictures coming back. in an email yesterday from her she has resigned from her job ,i dont know if that is such a good idea with the way the economy has been of late .

i see barbie doll has just turned 50 ,amazing .

heatwave - looks like it is going to be 40 degrees for the rest of the week . so be careful because that is too bloomin hot . how many bushfires r going to start?

happy australia day ,hope yours was a good one . my man and i went down to traralgon to see his dau and her family for the weekend . we went to the local councils breakkie which was good with entertainment from the local band . later that day we went to the local swimming pool which was free to get in for the day ,so the kids had a good time and i had fun in the wading pool as well. then my man and i made our way back to melb but dropped into his other dau at cranbourne for a bbq tea -it seemed everyone was on their best behaviour.

it seems australia day means different things to different people - to some of the local aboriginal community it is invasion day -which to me is understandable because as a white person we did not know what to find here . our ancestors came not knowing what to expect and where taken by surprise .

so to me it is a day of gathering together ,having fun and thanking our ancestors for what we have and where we come from . also a day to thank those who have done alot of work in our community .
