psychology of belief, judgement and decision-making, and critical thinking
What this website might do and what it doesn’t do...
This website attempts to offer a basic introduction to terms, concepts, and some context for subject areas such as belief and bias, judgement and decision-making, critical thinking, and so on.
In many cases only very brief definitions or explanations are provided together with, usually, cross-references to related topics or terms. In selected instances a short discussion is offered.
What the Glossary does not attempt is to set out a comprehensive, exhaustive, or expert coverage of the subject areas. Nor does the site provide detailed references or recommendations for further reading. Should anything in the glossary interest the reader they should then seek or consult reliable, professional websites such as that of Carroll or Barrett for a fuller, more textured treatment of the material.
Should the reader wish to point out and have corrected errors or other inadequacies or shortcomings in the Glossary they may e-mail here.
